Mavis Staples, Nick Lowe And Wilco Rehearse A Cover Of 'The Weight' (VIDEO)

There's something chill-inducing about watching great performers rehearse. One of the most performance videos of last year was Beyonce's backstage rendition of her song, "1+1," which she performed along with her backup singers in an "American Idol" dressing room. No autotune, no machines, just her and a couple voices. Also, the fact Jay-Z shot it on his own cell-phone camera only added that extra "awww" factor.

Now, Wilco has uploaded a video of them rehearsing "The Weight," that classic, oft-performed song by The Band -- along with R&B icon Mavis Staples and British crooner Nick Lowe -- inside a dressing room at Chicago's Civic Opera House in December. They played the cover that night at their concert. The song sounds perfect, despite or because of its naturally shaggy nature, but one of the best parts is watching the smiles plastered across the band's faces the entire time.

The man behind the camera is Zoran Orlic, a rock photographer who has followed countless bands on tour, and whose other photography can be viewed here.
