Both TLC and A&E have rejected a follow-up series to?"Sarah Palin?s Alaska"?following Todd Palin?s activities as a snowmobile racer that is being produced by Mark Burnett.

Burnett and Sarah Palin are pitching the new series ?focused on Palin?s husband Todd and his career as a championship snowmobile racer,??according to The Hollywood Reporter, which says that ?TLC owner Discovery Communications has passed? and A&E ?also is not interested?? in part because of ?the steep asking price.? (The original series?cost between $800,000 and $1 million?per episode.)

The paper also quotes an anonymous ?network insider? (executive? intern?) who offers the other obvious reason: ?I think it?s safe to say her time has passed.?
